A sticky treat

Christian's been bugging me for awhile about trying a candy apple. One of his favorite friends, Caillou, had a candy apple on an episode of his show and ever since Christian has been convinced that they must be the best treat ever.

I'm not sure if Abby and Nate have had candy apples before. They both told me that they had not, so I think this was the first time all three of them have tried them.

We did NOT make these - I'm not that brave. I'm sure they would have enjoyed the candy apple making process and mess, but I wasn't up for it. So this time around the store bought ones will have to do.

I was convinced that no one would like their apple, but as you'll see from the video, I was wrong!

I know that this event probably wasn't a blog worthy moment, but we're having a slow day (which is rather nice) and this is all I could come up with to entertain you :)

YUMMY!!! We make them every year in October, and my friend Courtney showed me the trick of doing HALF an apple - it makes it easier for the little ones to eat...plus they usually only eat half of it anyways! Very fun!

Nothings too boring for blogging. They were down to business with eating those apples. Remember the apples will be great for those loose teeth.

That's absolutely blog worthy! I'm laughing out loud at Abbey's "it won't let me". How cute/funny is that? It looks like a good time was had by all. Anna :)

I linked over here from your comment on CF Husband....bless you both for getting on the bone marrow registry!!! Our pastor's son is receiving chemo treatments for leukemia and they are saying that his only hope right now is a marrow transplant. None of his family members were a match, but some anonymous person is! We are all so glad that someone with a very big heart is going to give him the gift of life. Now if we can just get him heathy enough to receive the transplant!!!

Anyways, I just wanted to thank you for sharing yourself and doing your part to make this world a little smaller and brighter. Blessings to you!

Dear Christian,
Hi my name is Dorie and I'm Craig Lininger's mom. I want to thank you for sending Craig that very special picture you colored for him. He really liked it. Thank you even more for praying for him. What a very special thing for you to do. God is answering our prayers and Craig is doing good. He never complains about it hurting or anything. He is a very special guy. Maybe sometime we can meet you at Heidi's house or something. Has Craig already been to your house? Im' not sure. Tell your mom that I said thanks too for the card and mostly for all of your prayers.
