Yup, that's right...I've only got two days left to be a twenty-something. I'm actually not having a hard time with this because my life is really very fulfilling. I've got a great marriage, two precious kids, I've had a career and now I'm lovin' just being a mommy and an aunt. Oh sure, I'm pretty stressed out most of the time by sick kids, disobedience, a sleepless baby and daunting tasks like laundry and potty training and a kitchen floor that just won't stay clean. But when I look back over this past year of highs and lows and the 28 years before that I can see a subtle thread that's been weaving it's way through my life. And that thread is my growing relationship with my savior, Jesus Christ. That relationship is what has gotten me through the disappointments and stresses of life and that relationship is what gives me great hope for the future. So as I've been mentally preparing for this big birthday I'm finding myself becoming more and more grateful for my savior and the sacrifice he made for me!
Click here to see what my very dear and witty friend Jamie had to say about turning 30. It's very entertaining and so, so true.

I'm glad you are happy with where you are in life and looking forward to turning 30! I had a hard time with it because of circumstances beyond my control. EVeryone I know who is older than me says their 30s have been their best years so far, I bet your will be too...I'm making mine that way! Happy early Birthday!
30 huh. Your doing better than I did I had a really hard time with 30. Prob. because I'm still single. happy early birthday.

My big 30 is this summer and i'm looking forward to it! This was a great post--and I loved the pictures!
Happy Birthday!
Oh, good golly miss molly, where did you find that picture! Brings back memories. Turning 30 was not a big deal to me either. I'm not sure how I'm going to feel about 40, but I have 7 years yet. Whew. Happy birthday in advance! Anna :)
30...who ever thought that would come? I am glad you are happy about it, and I really do think the best is yet to come. Just think of all it took to get you here, God's grace has been eviden in your life. I can hardly believe I have known you for just about..what...13 years now?!! One thing I know for sure is that I am so blessed to know you. Love ya mean it!
Happy birthday!!!
I personally enjoy seeing how far your parents furniture has come. Praise God for change!
How fun to see these growing up pictures of Judy!!! The one of your 11th birthday is my fave I think - you and Amy look exactly the same - your faces are identical as today!!! different hair, such cuties!!! Think about all you've accomplished in the last 10 years - graduated from college, wonderful teacher, met & married Ryan, and had 2 beautiful children. Imagine what the next 10 years will be like and the blessings you'll look back on to see!! God IS good!
Hey Erin, I loved that furniture! It was Eathan Allen for heavens sake!
Anyway, Judy, you are such a blessing in our lives and in the lives of so many others. I love the way you are so transparent and the beautiful way you share the Lord through your blog. May Jesus Christ, THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE, continue to be glorified in your life as you continue your walk with Him.
Love, Mom
I had a good chuckle over the furniture too - and the hair!! What were we thinking!! Isn't it incredible to see what God has done though?! Through all the years, He has been constant and faithful. You are so blessed, and I am blessed to be your sister.
Yep...it's that time for many of us. Hope you go out of the 20's in style. My 2 girlfriends and I all turn 30 this year and we are doing a spa weekend in Williamsburg. Have an extremely Happy Birthday and maybe even get a few hours of straight sleep!!!
