Pneumonia (AGAIN)

Here we go again! My sweet McKenna girl has pneumonia. We just got back from the doctor. We are going to do our best to handle it at home. The last place we want to end up is the hospital, so we are going to be doing breathing treatments every 4 hours and she is now on an antibiotic. I'm actually glad to finally have a diagnosis. We've been dealing with a sick little girl for 10 days now. I really do think it started out as a virus and then it must have turned into pneumonia. Today the doctor said, "I'm 99% sure it's pneumonia but we'll send her to the hospital for a chest x-ray just to confirm it." I said "No Way! We're not going through that again." Please pray that McKenna will recover from this quickly. It's no fun to have a sick baby, but she is a tough, cheerful little girl!

Answers. THeir the best when you are in a frustrating place, especially with sick babies. When Adam got RSV we would turn him over in our lap (he was 3m) and cup our hands and drum gently on his back. He would ahhhhh the whole time and it became a game. My aunt suggested this because she had a daughter who had CisticFibrosis, and it help her to break up the congestion in her chest. Just a thought. In the name of Jesus she is Healed!

Oh Judy. I am so sorry to hear this - although I am relieved to hear that she is on the meds now and hopefully will be an end to this prolonged sickness. Poor baby...and poor Judy. Is Christian better and over it now?

She was still so smiley and rolly-polly this afternoon when I picked up Emma, except for that nasty cough. I'm so relieved that there is finally a diagnoses! It helps to be able to finally be proactive and feel like you're DOING SOMETHING for her, even though you have been all along! You have amazing stamina Jude!!

Aw we pray God will heal her little body and that you will NOT have to go to the hospital anymore! Judy you are truly a wonderful mother, and I know you are taking very good care of your babies. Thank the Lord that you finally can give her an antibiotic! I know God can heal and He does work miracles, but sometimes its with the help of a little meds. Hang in there lady! Your tough and everything will be back to normal very soon...in the name of Jesus! Amen!!! Heidi
