The Hair Cut

Abby's bangs were getting a little long so I trimmed them last Friday night. Without thinking I left the scissors out on the bathroom sink so that I could trim Emma's bangs later. Apparently this temptation was too much for Abby and she decided her bangs needed a little more trimming along with a chunk of hair on the side of her head. I didn't notice that anything was wrong that night and I didn't see Abby at all this weekend. I told Amy on Friday that I had trimmed Abby's bangs, so for the entire weekend Amy was thinking that I did a horrible job. She was just being kind by not bringing it up. Yesterday, as I was giving baths, I found a rather large pile of hair (that I immediately knew was Abby's) hidden on the floor behind the toilet. I called Amy and told her what I thought happen. She was just relieved that I wasn't really that terrible at cutting hair. Abby really likes the hair cut she gave herself. She's quite proud of it and it didn't even occur to her that she should NOT be cutting her own hair. This picture doesn't really do it justice since the wind was blowing. She does look awfully cute with her multi-layered bang look!

They all do it. I do think Abby's at the right age to do something like this though. Faith did it last year when she was 7! Her bangs were finally grown out and she cut such a chunk out that she looked like she had a horn so needless to say, we had to cut bangs again. They are now almost to her shoulders again. Abby looks adorable with her new haircut!~Love, Heather

"The Hair Cut" is probably as much my fault as anybody's. I meant to cut the girls bangs last weekend and just did not get it done. One good thing about hair, it always grows back - thank goodness!

I don't know how many near fatal and horrible haircuts I have save my girls from. Since it's two of them they are constantly offering to cut the other ones hair, or if they can they will pin Adam down to do his. I think it's hilarious that Amy thought it was you. I know if that had happened to me anyone of my sisters would not have been nearly as generous in finding the humor. They probably would have marched the bald child right back over and tried to glue it all back on.

Okay, so that is too funny. Poor Amy, she was probably wondering how to tactfully talk to you about it. :) Do you remember when Betsie cut Joe's hair? Ah, fun times with scissors. Anna :)

oh dear...no bad haircut could take away the cuteness in this little girl! :) she is just too precious! But she is the age where they start exploring their own options...too funny!!

Oh Abby! She's just too cute for her own good. I think her hair looks pretty good.
